MacDonald Turkey Point Marina

Not an official channel of communication. While Danny, Brad and others often read comments, no one reads all of them. If you need to get ahold of staff, you must call or email us. Those are the only lines of communication monitored by the office. If you have a message for Tracey at the main office for example, you should call her.

Respect privacy. While most marina staff have personal social media, we ask that you keep work-related talk for email or other official communication channels. They have a life outside of work too, and while they’re always friendly towards customers who reach out, we do ask customers to respect their life outside of working for us.

Social media is remote. When you see a post, it was published by Danny MacDonald or Josh MacDonald, who are often not in the marina office when writing the posts – either within the marina or at a home office. If you have a question about dock pricing, for example, call the main office as we don’t have all the pricing memorized. Occasionally posts are drafted by the office staff and submitted for publishing, but in that case, those who write those posts don’t have access to the social media to answer your replies.

Be Kind. People often say things online that they wouldn’t say in person. I feel old saying this, but this comes from a 24 year old. Please be careful with what you write and understand sarcasm rarely reads properly over text. All comments are archived so even if it’s deleted, it’s still in our email. Please be considerate to others when commenting on posts.

One strike system. Over the last decade we’ve banned over 50 people from writing comments, which is less than 1% of our following. If you are part of that 1% and choose to attack others, or can’t be trusted to leave respectful comments, we disable your access. We don’t like to babysit comments so banning users from accessing the page has been useful to keeping our page a safe place.
