Turkey Point Hotel to Be Operated by David’s Restaurant of Dover Coast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: After being acquired just weeks ago by the MacDonald family, the Turkey Point Hotel will be managed by David's Restaurant of Dover Coast.

With existing waterfront locations such as David’s Restaurant, David’s On Tour and the Links at Dover Coast, the firm will bring all the fantastic things they have to offer to Turkey Point.

"We had interest from several successful restauranteurs over the past couple weeks, but I think the whole family is pretty happy to be working with a group that aligns with our goals and what we have in mind for the property." said Josh MacDonald. "Although David’s Restaurant is an upscale restaurant, the hotel will not turn to white tablecloth. They are a team of professionals and I'm confident in whatever Mark and his team have planned."

Mark Stortini, of Norfolk County, has been the chief operating officer of Dover Coast for the past 7 years.

"What a tremendous opportunity to partner with the MacDonald family," stated Mark in an interview Wednesday. "We pride ourselves in being responsible and progressive stewards in the hospitality sector, as well as our development position; and to contribute to the social enjoyment in such a historically significant operation will be fantastic."

As soon as the liquor license is transferred, the doors will be opened for the 2019 season. As for weekend entertainment, the night club will continue to run on Saturday nights with live bands from Victoria Day to Labour Day as per recent years, as will karaoke on Friday nights.
